Crispy Fried Chicken Using Chicken Frying Mix
Ingredients:
- 1 whole chicken (approximately 1.5 kg)
- 200 g of Chicken Frying Mix
- 200 ml of cold water (for batter method)
- Cooking oil
Instructions:
1. Prepare Ingredients: Gather 1 whole chicken (approximately 1.5 kg), 200 g of Chicken Frying Mix, and cooking oil.
2. Prepare the Chicken:
- Cut the chicken into appropriately sized pieces.
- Soak the chicken pieces in cold water to remove any blood.
- Rinse the chicken thoroughly and pat it dry to remove excess moisture.
3. Coat the Chicken:
3-A. Method 1 (Dry Coating):
- Evenly coat the dried chicken pieces with Chicken Frying Mix.
- Let the coated chicken rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes to help the coating adhere better.
3-B. Method 2 (Batter Coating):
- Mix 200 g of Chicken Frying Mix with 200 ml of cold water in a bowl, stirring until smooth with no lumps.
- Dip the chicken pieces into the batter, ensuring they are well-coated.
- Tip: Use ice-cold water for an even crispier texture.
4. Fry the Chicken:
- Heat cooking oil in a deep fryer or pan to 170°C–180°C (340°F–355°F).
- Carefully add the coated chicken pieces into the hot oil.
- Fry for 8–10 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and fully cooked.
