This page explains how our pickup and delivery service currently works including delivery availability restricted items order handling and what to expect after placing an order.

Please note that our services may continue to evolve as we expand. We encourage customers to review this page before placing an order.

1. Overview

At HGW customers are asked to complete their order method details through our checkout popup before proceeding to payment. This helps us confirm whether your order will be collected by pickup or sent by delivery and ensures we have the information needed to fulfil your order correctly.

We currently support both Pickup and Delivery orders. Some items may have special fulfilment conditions including products that are pickup only.

2. Pickup Orders

Pickup is available for eligible orders and may be the best option for customers purchasing items that are not currently available for delivery.

When placing a pickup order please make sure you select the correct store and provide accurate contact details so we can prepare your order smoothly.

  • Pickup availability may depend on product type and store location.
  • You may receive collection instructions or store-specific notes as part of your order confirmation.
  • Orders should only be collected once you have received confirmation that your order is ready where applicable.
  • A valid photo ID may be required when collecting certain restricted items including liquor.

3. Delivery Orders

Delivery is available for many of our products with service currently focused on the Perth Metro area.

To place a delivery order customers must provide a valid delivery address through the HGW checkout popup before proceeding to checkout. This allows us to assess delivery eligibility and apply the appropriate shipping conditions.

  • Delivery availability may vary depending on your address product type and order contents.
  • Some addresses outside our standard operating area may still be accepted but additional shipping charges and longer delivery timeframes may apply.
  • We may contact you if we need to confirm delivery details before dispatching your order.

4. Delivery Areas

Our delivery service is currently operated primarily within the Perth Metro area.

We may also accept orders for addresses outside Perth Metro. However:

  • delivery to these areas is not guaranteed under standard metro conditions
  • additional shipping fees may apply
  • delivery may take longer than our usual estimated timeframe

If your address falls outside our regular service area we may contact you after your order is placed to confirm any additional delivery charges or updated delivery arrangements.

5. Shipping Fees

Shipping fees are calculated based on the delivery details of your order and may vary depending on factors such as:

  • delivery address
  • order size or weight
  • delivery zone
  • whether the address is within or outside Perth Metro

For metro-area deliveries a standard delivery fee may apply. For non-metro or extended service areas additional charges may be required.

  • Any delivery fee shown at checkout is based on the information provided at the time of ordering.
  • If an address is incomplete incorrect or outside the standard delivery area shipping charges may need to be adjusted.
  • We reserve the right to contact customers before dispatch if further payment is required for delivery.

6. Estimated Delivery Times

For addresses within Perth Metro delivery is generally expected within approximately 1 to 2 business days after dispatch depending on order volume operational conditions and delivery scheduling.

For addresses outside Perth Metro delivery may take longer. Exact timeframes may vary depending on location and courier arrangements.

  • Estimated delivery times are provided as a guide only.
  • Delivery times may be affected by peak periods public holidays weather conditions courier delays or other factors outside our control.
  • A longer delivery timeframe may apply to regional or outer-metro areas.

7. Refrigerated and Frozen Items

Products tagged as Refrigerated or Frozen are currently pickup only.

These items are not currently available for standard delivery due to temperature control and product handling requirements.

If your cart includes refrigerated or frozen items:

  • delivery may not be available for that order
  • you may be required to choose pickup instead

We recommend checking your cart carefully before checkout if you are planning to place a delivery order.

8. Liquor Orders

Products tagged as Liquor are pickup only and are not currently available for delivery.

Please also note the following conditions for liquor purchases:

  • Liquor products are currently available for pickup from Innaloo and Carousel (Cannington) stores only.
  • Liquor must be purchased together with food items.
  • Customers may be required to present valid photo ID at the time of pickup.
  • We reserve the right to refuse collection of liquor orders where legal or store policy requirements are not met.

Customers should ensure they understand these conditions before placing an order that includes liquor items.

9. Failed Delivery Incorrect Address & Unattended Delivery

Please make sure your delivery details are accurate and complete when placing your order.

If a delivery cannot be completed due to an incorrect or incomplete address failed contact restricted access or other delivery issue HGW may:

  • contact you to arrange redelivery or updated instructions
  • charge an additional delivery fee where redelivery is required
  • cancel the delivery portion of the order where fulfilment is not possible

For unattended delivery:

  • customers should only choose delivery where it is suitable for goods to be left at the address where permitted
  • HGW is not responsible for loss theft damage or spoilage after delivery has been completed to the address provided including where goods are left unattended at the customer’s request.

We may decline unattended delivery in certain cases particularly where the order includes items that require secure handling.

10. Order Changes & Cancellations

If you need to change or cancel your order please contact us as soon as possible.

We may be able to assist with order changes before the order is processed or dispatched but changes cannot always be guaranteed once preparation has started.

  • requests for address changes pickup store changes or item changes may not be possible after order confirmation
  • cancellation requests submitted after preparation or dispatch may be refused or may incur charges
  • where delivery arrangements have already been booked or processed related delivery fees may be non-refundable
